As American as they are, We never grew up eating whoopie pies. In our house, it was traditional cookies and maybe a cupcake or two thrown in for good measure. What IS a whoopie pie anyway? It’s a little bit cookie and a little bit cake with a layer of frosting on the inside. It’s a sandwich cookie of sorts, but the cookie is cakelike.

There are endless flavor possibilities with these pillowy treats and we thought, why not give them a try? See how some of our friends and clients like them?

We went for banana because we wanted a flavor that would stand out out its own and yet mix nicely with our dulce de leche cream cheese frosting layer. Success!

We’re thinking of offering a limited number of boxes of these, banana or other, depending on the interest. So tell us, is this something you’d like to see on the menu?

I think that’s a great idea to trial them here in France. It’s not common and fun mix of a macaroon here.

I *did* grow up eating whoopie pies. In fact, they are a Maine gas station specialty, so it is slightly weird for me to think about them being sold in Paris, and in a posh flavor such as banana/dulce… I’d say give it a try, but go for the classic. No one ever said no to the simplicity of a chocolate/vanilla combo :)

Fair enough :) I assure you, the banana was GOOD. We’ll whip up a batch of a more classic flavor soon!

oh, don’t worry ! I have no doubts about their deliciousness, I’m just a purist. If you do need a taste test by an expert, I think I’d be up for the job :P

DO IT!!!!! My daughter and I were lucky enough to be taste testers and they were heavenly. Tasted like a really moist banana cake (the flavor was wonderful) with a little sweet something special in the middle. I am a big whoopie pie eater and trust me, you nailed it!

I grew up eating pumpkin whoopie pies with cream cheese filling and they were divine. I would love to be able to find that delicious taste of home here in Paris!
